WEB CONTENT FILTER

Postby dbhopatkar » Thu Nov 17, 2011 12:20 am

We have downloaded Free version for trying out our fitering requirements. Tried using Web Keyword filtering by defining keywords within web pages on "Web Keyword" Tab of "HTTP Filter Config" dialogue box. However the filter does not work. Please let us know how to make Web Content Filter work.

Subject to this Content filtering working, we intend to purchase licences for Active Wall.

You can add keyword "host" in web keyword and then visit www.hostmonster.com, the website will be blocked.
But some times active wall can not block the webpage.
1.Your browser use cache instead of get the content from website, so active wall can not detect the web keyword.
2.The website use gzip to output compressed webpage content, so active wall can not detect the web keyword. (Now more and more websites use this technology)
